The League of Friends
The League of Friends was founded in 1974 as a registered charity.
It is a voluntary body formed to give members of the public an opportunity to raise funds to provide amenities which are not always available from within the NHS.

Chairman: Mike Overton Treasurer: Keith Edwards Secretary: Marilyn Piri Marketing and Fundraising Officer: Ray Woods
In the last few years, the League has raised over £750,000 towards:
*An extended and refurbished Day Hospice *New summer house and garden furniture *Improved catering and equipment for patients *New beds for patients *Funding alternative therapy and specialist training *Landscaping the Hospice Gardens to improve patient access *An ambulance and estate car (for patient transport) and many other items and services....
Over £250,000 will be contributed to the Hospice over the next few months... Much of our income comes through wills and legacies, but there are many other ways that you can help.
