The Charity is now in its 35th year of helping the Hospice
It is a voluntary body formed to give members of the public an opportunity to raise funds and to raise awareness of the services available from the Hospice - and how to access those services. The pictures below are taken from the 35th anniversary celebrations held in the new Day Hospice partly funded by the League of Friends.
In the last few years, the Friends have raised over £1 million towards:
*An extended and refurbished Day Hospice and multi faith room *Improved catering and equipment for patients *New beds for patient
*Specialist Books for children who have lost a parent
*Funding alternative therapy and specialist training *Landscaping the Hospice Gardens to improve patient access *An ambulance and estate car (for patient transport) and many other items and services....
Much of our income comes through wills and legacies, but there are many other ways that you can help.
