The League Of friends for John Taylor Hospice raised a record breaking £26,200 from The Great Midlands Fun Run 2012 . This money is the most for an individual charity and part of an overall record 20% increase for the total sum raised from 2011. The chair of the LOF said “I was bowled over by it actually. I was totally surprised. We raised £18,000 last year so it’s a huge step up and didn’t think we had done quite that well. We go the extra mile, that’s what people give us money for. They make their donations because they want to see that the next patient has had the same sort of benefits that their relatives received“.
