Our journey began in 1977 with a group of volunteers dedicated to make a difference for the benefit of patients, their families (including children) and carers. Our charity is now in its 36th year.
The League of Friends helps raise funds for John Taylor hospice. It is a voluntary body formed to give members of the public and its corporate sponsors an opportunity to raise funds. It is also raises awareness of the services available from the hospice and how to access these services.
The LOF has through has raised over £1 million through fundraising activities such as;
- Merchandising sales
- Fun Runs, lottery
- corporate support
- coffee mornings
- Christmas fayre
- and strawberry tea.
